“Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise.
The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to man
that he should proclaim the Word of God through music.”

– Martin Luther.

There is nothing else in the world like hearing a congregation sing. Being with believers who are all lifting their voices to proclaim the greatness and goodness of God both glorifies God and encourages the human heart.

Grace Bible Church is a singing church. This is as it should be because of all the different ways to use music in the church, congregational singing is what we see emphasized most in Scripture.

The songs that we sing highlight the character of God Himself and the truth of the gospel message. While we do not equate music with worship at Grace Bible Church, we do believe that music is important. Above all, what matters most to God is the condition of our hearts before Him.

The following messages may be most helpful in further explaining our approach to music at Grace: 1, 23, 4

We encourage excellent, yet, humble use of the talents and spiritual gifts God has given to active members of Grace. At the same time, we seek to help our volunteers grow in their walk with Christ through gospel-centered instruction, fellowship and service. It is our desire to see successive generations of faithful lead worshippers raised up among us who fulfill their calling in the strength that God supplies (1 Peter 4:11).

Why does the music ministry at Grace Bible Church exist?

(1) to magnify the greatness and goodness of God in Christ Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, skillfully combining God's Word with music,

(2) thereby motivating the gathered church to proclaim the gospel, to cherish God's presence, and to live for God's glory.
